| Tasty is all about teaching people easy ways to make delicious food. What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone who says cooking is too hard? No one, not even the best chefs, start out that way. It may sound basic, but cooking is really all about practice. The more you practice, the more you try to learn, the better you'll get. Oh, and always read the recipe BEFORE you start cooking! How do you compare the evolution of food in media from cooking shows to now digital platforms like Tasty? While traditional cooking shows are great, I think the benefit of Tasty being on a digital platform is our accessibility. We're able to reach people all over the world from every demographic. Yes, we've got cooking shows, but we're also able to share more specific instructions than a traditional cooking show would - like with our Tasty 101 series. To me, what sets Tasty apart is the ability to marry education with entertainment, and deliver that in long and short-form content, different styles, perspectives, and recipes. What’s your favorite Tasty recipe you’ve ever made, worked on, or seen on social media? I'm really proud of the Tasty 101 series I've worked on, but I think my favorite out of the bunch is the fluffiest buttermilk pancake recipe video. I spent many hours trying multiple recipes, and I have to say, these really are the best. What’s one ingredient you can’t live without? Salt. I'm addicted. And you know, it makes everything better. What’s the craziest moment you’ve ever experienced in the Tasty kitchen? In February, we shot a video featuring Migos. It involved days of prep, and there were so many people involved. Even with all that preparation, there was no way to anticipate how wild it would be to have Migos in our very own kitchen. The energy was truly electric, everyone was so excited to be creating something so unique and different than our usual content. |
