Each week, we'll be introducing you to the eight chefs that are the new faces of Tasty! Meet Rie McClenny, a food video producer for Tasty.

Tasty is all about teaching people easy ways to make delicious food. What's one piece of advice you would give to someone who says cooking is too hard?
If you feel cooking is too hard, my advice is try cooking for someone you love. I think if you are cooking for someone, you want to make that person happy, so even if it is hard, you will at least give it a try and do your best, right? I think once you find a purpose to cook, whether it's to nourish yourself or feeding someone else, I think you can enjoy cooking more.

How do you compare the evolution of food in media from cooking shows to now digital platforms like Tasty?
The great thing about digital media is you can reach out to so many people. If you have internet access everyone can watch it from anywhere in the world. Right now, we have 94 million followers on Facebook, which is insane! I think Tasty became very popular because we made sure the cooking process and ingredients were very approachable.

What's your favorite Tasty recipe you've worked on?
I have so many and it's very difficult to choose my favorite child, but I recently made arepas for a video for Hispanic Heritage Month with one of my co-workers Cesar, who is from Venezuela. After the video was published, I received a direct message from a young woman from Venezuela saying that the video gave her so much hope. She mentioned that because they are going through a rough time in Venezuela right now, and knowing there are people who are interested in her culture gave her hope. It was an eye-opening experience that my video can encourage someone out there. It made me feel like I'm making more than just a cooking video, and I'd like to continue sending a positive message through Tasty videos.

What's one ingredient you can't live without?
It's maybe so cliché, but I'm from Japan, so I can't live without soy sauce!

What's the craziest moment you've ever experienced in the Tasty kitchen?
I'd say when we shot with Migos! I needed a shot where Offset's watch had to be in the center of the frame and focused. We tried a couple of times, but since I couldn't get him to position himself, I went in and grabbed his arm. People around me were a little bit shocked because I grabbed his arm without asking, but I was in "work mode," and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, right?
