We asked a bread expert for his best tips for making, storing, and eating bread, so if you love bread as much as Oprah, you definitely want to read this post.

Each week, we'll be introducing you to the eight chefs that are the new faces of Tasty! Meet  Joseph "JJ" Johnson, a James Beard-nominated chef best known for cooking Pan-African flavors.

Tasty is all about teaching people easy ways to make delicious food. What's one piece of advice you would give to someone who says cooking is too hard?
My best advice is that cooking doesn't happen all in one shot – before you get into the kitchen, take time to gather your ingredients, cut the vegetables and season the meats. This could be the day before, or the morning of. If you have everything organized and prepped out, cooking can be easy. Turn the music on and have a soulful moment with yourself!

How do you compare the evolution of food in media from cooking shows to now digital platforms like Tasty?
Cooking shows were just the beginning; you could watch perhaps try to make the dish along with the show. Cooking shows paved the way for how people look at food. Tasty is there with you all the time. Whenever you're thinking about food, you have Tasty as a point of reference, like when you're in the kitchen, in the store, or with a friend.

What's your favorite Tasty recipe you've ever made, worked on, or seen on social media?
It's so hard to pick a favorite - all the Tasty recipes are things you envision to do but never do them – and it pushes the envelope every time! I loved the Smoked BBQ Pork Belly recipe I did for my first Tasty video – I really wanted to show you something you've never seen before.

What's one ingredient you can't live without?
Cinnamon

What's the best meal you've ever had?
I just got back from Alabama and loved the Highlands Bar & Grill. The grits soufflé was out of this world, so that's one of my favorite experiences so far this year.

What are you most looking forward to doing with Tasty in this talent program?
I'm most looking forward to bringing my food to Tasty viewers, introducing even more ingredients and techniques into the kitchen, having fun, and blowing it up even bigger!
